We’ve been there. We can help.
Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Oklahoma (DBSA-OK) is a state branch of the national organization. DBSA-OK began in 1991 with their first support group in Oklahoma City, and now offers free, peer-led support groups located around the state of Oklahoma. We provide training and educational classes for those who are looking to facilitate support groups or further their recovery journey.
DBSA-OK also holds regular facilitator summits to provide support and further education of our facilitators. We provide a wide variety of information on different aspects of mental health disorders, and we reach out to the public by attending different state conferences and events.
DBSA-OK holds two annual events for our consumers, volunteers, and family members: the DBSA annual picnic and silent auction in late summer, and A Night To Remember fundraising dinner, which is held each October. We also work closely with other consumer advocates around the state.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is the leading patient-directed national organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses. DBSA was founded in 1985, and is a not-for- profit 501(c)3 organization which works to ensure that people living with mood disorders are treated equitably.
The organization fosters an environment of understanding about the impact and management of these life-threatening illnesses by providing up-to-date, scientifically based tools and information written in a language the general public can understand. DBSA supports research to promote more timely diagnosis, develop more effective and tolerable treatments, and discover a cure. The national DBSA organization reaches nearly five million people each year through education materials and programs, exhibit materials, and media activities.
